Our daughter absolutely LOVES Wally the Wonderbug! In shopping for a "walker alternative," we researched the Evenflo, the Chicco (we love their car seat), and the Kolcraft activity centers. I don't know if it was the smiling face that enticed us to try out the Kolcraft but, we have been thrilled with our (seven month old) daughter's reaction to Wally. For my wife and I, it's really all about whether the activity center captures her attention through the variety of developmental toys available on the console. Our daughter spends tons of time playing with the antennae, grabbing the ball, and pressing the worm that plays music and lights up. Every activity has complementary sounds and she becomes completely absorbed within her surroundings. The ultimate test for us was heading out to my in-laws and putting her in the Evenflo center that they have at their house. As a guy (a somewhat unobservant one at that), I noticed that there weren't as many interactive options for her and she wasn't as involved in the center. For us, that sealed the deal.
We love Wally and plan on posting some pictures on the Kolcraft website soon!
P.S. Living in an apartment, we are also cognizant of storage. I like the fact that it collapses better than any of the other ones we considered.
Kolcraft Wonderbug Activity Center, Bugging Around

This is such a super cute, bright and colorful activity center. It's also light weight and easy to move around the house which is a plus if you typically use it in more than one room in your home. Many other entertainers that we have looked at were very heavy and bundle-some and wouldn't be easy to move around from room to room. The WonderBug is loaded with a variety of toys that rattle, play music and flash lights. The seat spins 360 degrees so baby can easily access all the toys and snack tray is located in the back of the activity center. On this activity center the height is adjusted by the belt at the bottom of the seat. The seat also detaches easily if it needs to be washed. Another great aspect of this activity center is ability to break it down easily to store or to travel with. This is my favorite feature of the WonderBug because many other activity centers do not break down this easily (or break down at all) for better storage making it a difficult item to store away when no longer in use. We are very happy with Wally!
